2017 seems to be the year of women centric films in Bollywood. Our heroines no longer need heroes to validate their existence. They are perfectly capable of pulling a film on their shoulders and making it a big hit too. Actresses are no longer a mere eye candy or objectified as a sex object in our films.

There is a tremendous change in the way women are portrayed in our films now-a-days. From Vidya Balan playing the owner of a brothel in Begum Jaan to Taapsee Pannu kicking some butts in Naam Shabana we are going to watch our actresses portraying all kinds of bold roles unabashedly.
