Mary Elle Fanning (conceived April 9, 1998) is an American on-screen character and mold show. The more youthful sister of on-screen character Dakota Fanning, she made her film make a big appearance as the more youthful adaptation of her sister’s character in the dramatization film I Am Sam (2001). As a kid performing artist, she showed up in a series of movies including Because of Winn-Dixie (2005), Babel (2006), Phoebe in Wonderland (2008), and Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere (2010).
In 2011, Fanning featured in her breakout job as Alice Dainard in J. J. Abrams’ science fiction show, Super 8, for which she got positive surveys and a Spotlight Award at the Hollywood Film Festival.
