Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil Receives Legal Notice From Netflix For Plagiarism

Sanjay Gupta rubbishes rumours that Kaabil has copied several elements from Netflix’s Daredevil. He said that if Netflix really decides to sue them, he will fight back.

Buzz around tinsel town is that Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil has received a legal notice from Netflix for plagiarism as they believe Kaabil has copied several parts from their famous TV series Daredevil.

Mumbai Mirror carried a report quoting a source as saying, “Protagonists of both the productions are blind while even the action sequences look the same. The colour schemes are also similar. This has upset Netflix and they will be taking legal action against Rakesh Roshan’s FilmKraft Productions and Sanjay Gupta’s White Feature Films.”

However, director of Kaabil, Sanjay Gupta has rubbished these reports and said that there are no similarities at all between Kaabil and Daredevil. “It’s a preposterous comparison because Hrithik is not a superhero in Kaabil. His character is that of a blind man who does what he does the best. In daredevil, the protagonist fights 30 people at a time. None of that is happening in Kaabil. If they sue us, we will definitely fight back.”

Kaabil starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam is all set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2016. The film would clash with Shahrukh Khan and Mahira Khan starrer Raees. Both the films have huge expectations from the audiences and we hope that both of them will do well.
